Preparing for an Emergency Situation

It's January, and with it comes harsh winter weather - rain, snow, sleet, storms, floods, and more! No matter what state you live in, severe weather can hit your hometown at any given moment. Being prepared is one of the most important things you can do to safeguard you and your family.
According to Ready.gov, "severe weather can include hazardous conditions produced by thunderstorms, including damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, flooding and flash flooding, and winter storms associated with freezing rain, sleet, snow and strong winds." The site goes on to list the necessary steps in order to be more prepared for severe weather conditions and emergency situations.
